The CBS drama was renewed for a fifth season in May 2015, but found itself without a home on the fall schedule. It was similarly absent when the network released its first two waves of midseason scheduling moves. With no premiere date in site, the series wrapped production on the season without knowing if it would be returning for a sixth season.
The SIG-Sauer P226R makes a return in Season 5 as the weapon of choice for John Reese (Jim Caviezel). Reese uses the weapon until it runs dry in Season 5's premiere \"B.S.O.D\" (S5E01). The SIG-Sauer P226R also appears as the sidearm of Samaritan agents and John Greer (John Nolan) throughout the season. In \"B.S.O.D\" (S5E01), Samaritan agents use it with suppressors while chasing Reese through the streets of New York. John Reese (Jim Caviezel) acquires the weapon after being attacked at the ferry in the very same episode. Root (Amy Acker) picks up the drop pistol in a fire fight with Samaritan agents in Bela's warehouse. A couple of hired gunmen use P226Rs in \"A More Perfect Union\" (S5E06). The pistol is also used by Shaw in several computer simulations in \"6,741\" (S5E04) and then when confronting Root in \"Sotto Voce\" (S5E09). A USAF SP officer named Terrence Johnson (Adrian Alvarado) uses it when confronts Finch near the end of \"Synedoche\" (S5E11). In the series finale \"Return 0\" (S5E13), Finch is seen with a SIG that he took off a fallen Samartian agent, unusual for him since he has voiced in the past that he was against firearms. Shaw is seen using a suppressed P226 during a confrontation with Blackwell at the end of the episode.
Detective Lionel Fusco (Kevin Chapman) carries a Glock 17 as his sidearm. As mentioned in previous seasons, the approved onduty sidearm for the NYPD is the Glock 19. In \"B.S.O.D\" (S5E01), the handgun is seen in flashbacks in the hands of Dominic and Fusco prior as \"The Correction\" took place in the Season 4 Finale. The Glock is used by CIA operatives including Terrence Beale (Keith David) in \"Truth Be Told\" (S5E03).
M4A1 Carbines are carried by Samaritan agents, ESU officers and US military personnel throughout the season. An M4 is another one of the weapons Reese takes out from the safehouse in in \"The Day The World Went Away\" (S5E10). Joey Durban (James Carpinello) uses it while undercover as a National Guard soldier summoned to Washington D.C. in the middle of \"Synedoche\" (S5E11).
The CBS drama aired between 2011 and 2016 and was part of the golden age of Netflix licensed content where new seasons would arrive on an annual basis from all the major TV networks. Of course, those days are long gone but a number of these shows still sit on Netflix.
EMERSON: I suppose the best policy would be to watch the pilot, which is the set-up. I think the pilot is sort of required viewing, so that you know where you stand. Then you can knock around a little after that, once you know the set-up and the voyage and the relationship. But having said that, there are so many important developments over the course of four seasons.
AX: There was a very interesting Season 4 episode where Root wanted to kill a software developer played by Elizabeth Marvel because Finch was going to risk himself to protect the woman from Samaritan. Killing the woman was the only way Root could see to stop Finch from putting himself in danger, and Finch tried to kill himself in so that Root would no longer have a reason to kill the software developer.
Heading into October, fan-favorite series Supernatural, Raising Hope, and 30 Rock help lead the first week of premiere. Continuing, CW brings back superheroes with Arrow, AMC brings back the undead in The Walking Dead season 3, and FX brings back the eerie in American Horror Story: Asylum (season 2). The close of the month brings the return of Community, Nikita and Touch, meaning that the fall TV premiere season is almost over. 781b155fdc
